​Brian McWhirter, DC

Dr. Brian McWhirter established Stradbrook Chiropractic Center in 1993. He has been involved in Health Care since graduating from Portage Collegiate Institute in 1980. His first career was as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and he worked in that capacity in Microbiology, Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and at the Cadham Provincial Lab. This provided the launch point for his career in Chiropractic. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) at U of Winnipeg.

He began his Chiropractic education at Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1987 and graduated in 1991 after completing internships at Robbinsdale Clinic in Minneapolis and North Conway Chiropractic Center in North Conway, New Hampshire.

His original practice began in Thompson, Manitoba where he perfected his skills while working with Dr. Paul Pritchard. After 2 years in the north, Dr. Brian relocated to Winnipeg and opened Stradbrook Chiropractic at the corner of Stradbrook and Osborne in 1993. The clinic grew from its original location and moved to its current larger, location at 130 Osborne Street.

He has been very involved in expanding the services provided to include traction (disc decompression therapy) for neck and low back issues involving a disc herniation. As well the clinic provides Shockwave therapy, Ultrasound, IFC, and Laser Therapy.

Dr. Brian has been actively involved in the community over the years as a board member with Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba and Osborne Village Biz Improvement zone where he was chair for a number of year. He has also volunteered as a Big Brother in the Mentorship program of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He also volunteered with the pet therapy program at St. Boniface Hospital.

He looks forward to serving Winnipeg and Manitoba with ethical and quality care at Stradbrook Chiropractic Center.

Tues & Thurs: 3:30pm to 6pm

Allan Agbuya, RMT

​Allan is a graduate of Wellington College Remedial Massage Therapies. He is passionate about applying therapeutic techniques in every massage. He has taken Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage both Level I and Level 2. He also took an alternative massage modality, which includes Thai Massage and Thai Foot Reflexology. The training took place in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Allan plans on taking a Dry Needling course in Kelowna, British Columbia and Swedish massage in Stockholm, Sweden.

Olivia Ju, RMT

​Olivia is a graduate from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies; she excels in Relaxation and Therapeutic Massage. Olivia is certified in deep tissue massage, Myofascial release, lymphatic integration, breast massage and cupping massage. She specializes in cranial treatment, Facial detox and tightening.
 
Olivia provides stretching for better progress. Her goal is to help her patients bring balance back to their bodies and lives. She plans on taking on taking Fascial Stretch and Thai Massage in the future.

Sharon De Castro, RMT

Sharon graduated with honours from the 2300-hour Massage Therapy Program at the Robertson College in April 2020. She uses a therapeutic and sports therapy approach which incorporates deep tissue massage with PNF techniques and stretching. Sharon is also qualified in Swedish massage, Cupping massage, myofascial release, hydrotherapy, joint mobilization and pre-natal massage. With her new patients, she follows a thorough assessment and personal-based approach in order to relieve tightness, decrease pain, improve the range of motion and help her patients achieve their highest functional level.
Sharon is very passionate about helping people. She is also a Healthcare Aide, and has gained years of experience working with different people in all walks of life. Sharon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy which she received in the Philippines. Sharon enjoys continuing her education and plans on studying Low Intensity Laser Therapy, Percussive Therapy Massage, and Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation.

Arianne Hansson, RMT

Arianne Hansson is a graduate of Wellington College (2020). As a Registered Massage Therapist, Arianne believes that thorough assessment with mindful treatments are the basis of great Massage Therapy. Her priority is to work with patients to create a unique treatment plan that focus on their goals for overall health and well-being. This can be from injury rehabilitation to relaxation to preventive care. Arianne recognizes that many factors can play key parts to a patient's overall health condition. She prioritizes the needs and concerns of her patients' during every treatment. In her studies, she became very interested in lymphatic integration and is currently working towards becoming a Manual Lymphatic Therapist. Arianne also has experience working with the Manitoba MS Society and Cancer Care Manitoba through her schooling and hopes to continue working with them in the future.
